2016 Lexus ES Changes, Price and Review

The 2016 Lexus ES is a mid-size sedan, which is expected to come with an admired car design that has gone all-in through the grille. Though it may be Controversial, the spindle grille of the brand does not appear to have turned off adequate buyers to stop it from spreading, literally, across all vehicles of the Lexus array.

2016 Lexus ES Changes

Officially, the existing-generation ES model has dabbled in the spindle-grille panorama to a small extent by means of its 2013 redesign, but at present, the refreshed shows that it is entirely committed. The fog lamps and headlamps of the new sedan have in turn turned out to be jagged collections of glass and metal, much similar to those of the all-fresh 2016 RX. For a sporty coupe similar to the RC350, the look of the present Lexus is perhaps more fitting, and for the next generation Lexus ES, it is fairly radical.

The tail lamps of the new Lexus luxury sedan take on the L – shaped innards similar to the rest of the Lexus array, whereas the chrome decoration, spanning the back appears slightly better incorporated than before. The new sedan comes with fresh wheel designs, with 17-inch alloy wheels(new 20-spoke wheel) as standard and 20-inch alloy wheels(new 10-spoke wheel) as an option. The 2016 ES also comes with rectangular tailpipes.

Lexus ES 2016 Interior, Redesign

Lexus has paid much attention to make the cabin of the new Lexus ES more attractive. The innovative interior color combinations and finishes comprise Parchment, Flaxen brown, and black and gray upholstery, in addition to dark wood, piano black, matte-finished bamboo trim. The center instrument display panel is equipped with a 4.2-inch TFT component, and the Remote Touch interface has two “Enter” keys on both sides to simplify its operation. It also will now be equipped with the new, inexpensive Lexus Safety System+ that combines auto high beams, adaptive cruise control, and forward-collision alert, lane-departure warning and auto-braking with pedestrian detection

2016 Lexus ES Performance

For the United States market, the mid-size sedan will not be currently equipped with the four-cylinder, 2.5-liter, turbocharged engine of Lexus, so the ES300h hybrid and ES350 remain the only model offerings, though certain worldwide markets will offer four-cylinder, 2.0-liter or 2.5-liter engines under the hood.

The ES350 model will be equipped with V6, 3.5-liter engine to get the required power of 268 HP, whereas the ES300h hybrid will come with a four-cylinder, 2.5-liter engine two electric motors to get the combined power output of 200 HP. For stronger 3.5 liter model acceleration from 0-60 mph is 6.5 seconds, with top speed of 130 mph. The engine of the ES350 model is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, whereas the engine of ES300h is mated to a continuously variable transmission, but both transmissions send the power to the front wheels of the vehicle.
