Named as the Fiftieth Anniversary Special Edition, the new Corolla 2017 will be solely constructed for the American market. This elite sedan is derived from the athletic Corolla SE model and it features a number of modified details designed to commemorate the massive fame that the vehicle has around the world. Both the interior and exterior of the 2017 Toyota Corolla 50th Anniversary Special Edition have been redesigned, gaining features that buyers can usually order with the SE model as well as 50th Anniversary emblems. Toyota is going to construct only 8,000 units, making it one among the rarest Corolla models ever marketed in the United States.

The 50th Special Edition model will also be offered with a special Fiftieth Anniversary package that includes external features, such as a “50th Anniversary” insignia, Complex-LED headlamps and machine-finished wheels with Dark Gray inserts rather than the normal Gloss Black rollers. The vehicle also comes with a moonroof as standard. 2017 Corolla will be offered with three attractive body colors that include Classic Silver, Black Cherry, and Blizzard Pearl.
The new vehicle comes equipped with the MacPherson independent suspension in the front and with the torsion beam suspension at the back. It also comes equipped with electric power steering, and disc brakes of size 10.8 inches in the front and with the drum brakes with the size of nine inches at the back.

The will be offered with two engine options Stateside. Both will be four-cylinder engines with the same displacement of 1.8 liters. Both powertrains undergo different tuning levels, such that the first tuned engine will generate the maximum power of 132 ponies and the maximum torque of 128 pounds per foot. This new Toyota Corolla 2017 engine will be mated either to a six-velocity manual transmission or to a four-velocity mechanical or CVTi-S transmission.
On the other hand, the second tuned engine will generate the maximum power of 140 ponies and the maximum torque of 126 pounds per foot. This engine will be mated either to a six-velocity manual transmission or to a CVT.
The base trim offers the city mileage of 25 mpg and the highway mileage of 34 mpg. The higher end models will offer the city mileage of 27 mpg and the highway mileage of 40 mpg.
Base price and the date of release
The 2017 Toyota Corolla Special Edition release date is expected to be during Fall 2016. Pricing is not yet confirmed by Toyota, but it is expected that the Special Edition would cost more than that of the Corolla SE, which is now available at $20,635.
